It was 1715 HRS a Sunday in autumn, surfing through the Orkut profile of a no.of my friends; I was taken aback to see the same pic in many forms in many of them. Reply readily knocked my impeccable brain – This whizz kid is none other than Ernesto’Che’ Guevara de la Serna, commonly Che Guevara, the revolutionist,the Cuban socialist – not only that, a fighter who fought against imperialism 40 years ago.
Born as a Latin American and becoming a Doctor from a well going family, Che didn’t choose to be a sybarite, instead went out to help the sufferers out there. There are several books of Che on socialism, guerrilla warfare & politics. His inevitable ideologies triggered the naxalite movements in the seventies.He was one of the rare entities who looked upon in the same league, together, as of Karl Marx and Mao Zeadong. His ideas used to steer Gandhi and Nehru at the same time. And as an irony of destiny was killed by Bolivian soldiers that too due to betrayal by a woman named Tanya.
