Rituparno Beats Mir

in TV

Director extraordinaire Rituparno Ghosh has been sporting a clean shaved head for sometime. Though he continues to look great and exude his glamour even with a bald, I can’t help wondering why on earth the classy director chose to shed those curls. Clear enough, to stop the annoying Mir! Famous anchor-man Mir won the hearts of all by mimicking PC Sorcar, Mithunda and Rituparno among others – of these celebrities Mir’s favourite (ours too) is Rituparno. From Hau Mau Khau to Mirakkel and even on stage shows, Mir has been busy copying the typical Rituparno-style with perfection much to our amusement. The director’s annoyance was apparent. In an interview to a Bengali daily when asked about Rituparno’s reaction, Mir disclosed what Rituparno told him – “Toke chata marbo” (will slap ya). With the hot favourite Biskfarm commercial doing rounds on TV, where Mir dons a Ritu wig and says purro-o-o makho-o-n (I never miss to watch this ad), Rituparno has had enough. He decided to don a new look. Now, at least, Mir will have to get his hair clean mowed to put the director in embarrassment again!

Mir is justifiably taking revenge of his insults by Rituparno ‘Hijra’ Ghosh. In the programme ‘Enjoy Guru’ now and then Mir is very rightly making mokery of this Hijra from Tollywood.Although he is a famous director yet a stigma on our Indian society. Jio Mir! you are doing the right thing. Keep it up.

Have a close look at his profile before making derogatory comments against such stalwarts … He is among top 3 directors in Indian Film history. I don’t know whether you have the eligibility to clean off his shoes or not. Look at yourself at mirror. You will gradually realize that you are not a human being …….

What he has done with Mir is wrong no doubt, but I failed to understand why he is considered a “stigma” ? Yes my friend? Why? Can you dare to tell?

stigma ? rituparno is a person of rare talent, sensitivity and polish. yes, polish. why he reacts so outrageouly to mir’s mimicry is something to be understood only in context. we, so called normal people do not face mockery in our everyday lives, yet when we do, it hurts. imagine how much rituparno has survived before he “came out”.
why don’t we, for a change, ask ourselves why are we so intolerent of others? other religions, other opinions, other sexualities, other cultures? why must our humour hurt someone or the other? for the one who think rituparno “is a stigma on our indian society”, i would request you to sit calmly for a while and ponder, aren’t intolerence, inconsideration and cruely the basic problems in our social life?
