While this may not be my best coffee experience ever, this is what I could think of when I came across a thread titled ‘What is your best coffee experience?’ in the Facebook group called Cappuccino Lovers. Indeed, my most remarkable coffee experience is rather bizarre! Well it was in my first year at NBMC when I used to go to bed in time like a good boy. The semesters were running and I had Physiology prac the following day. At around 11 I decided to have some coffee. I misjudged and ended up pouring a lot of Nescafe into the cup. But I thought what the heck and went on having the super strong coffee. By 12.30 I was done studying and decided to go to bed. But sleep seemed to be elusive and I shifted from side to side. A long time passed and I was still awake. I got up, went to the loo and got back to bed. But my RAS was way too activated for any sleep and I spent the whole night trying to sleep until I saw the sky turning bright. When it was around 5 or something, I had enough of it and set aside any further plans of getting some sleep! I breathed in the fresh morning air, felt the early rays of the sun and loitered lazily. The exam went fine and was over by 1, with it the semester came to an end as well. I came back, had my lunch, took a power nap, packed my things, set out for NJP, boarded into the Darjeeling Mail and got lost into a deep slumber!
Ever since, I exercise adequate caution when it comes to pouring the coffee powder!
As I look back, this coffee episode was more than just a misadventure. Far from the comforts of home, with caffeine as your best friend at the time of exams, it was learning to do things on my own and growing up.
Of course there are many coffee moments worth cherishing, mostly with friends at joints like CCD and here goes a snap of the cool and creamy Cafe Frappe!

So what is your best coffee experience?

hehe !!! really man that was a cool experience on your part. Well I had always been wondering that after what time of having coffee would it start affecting and one stops feeling sleepy..!! Once a doctor told me it’s around 4-5hrs of having caffeine it starts affecting and guess what here as coffee is available every time in all forms from hearth roon to decaf with various kind of creamers so I take coffee at a special time, at 2′o clock midnight such that I can wake up at 7′o clock.
But yes coffee experience does remind me of special times spent with my close friends in CCDs/ Baristas/ Indian coffee house, chatting for long hours over a single cup of coffee……it makes me so nostalgic..!!
