By the way i agree with nisha. Although i voted for “in house politics”, because that was the option closest to wut i think.
the thing is that the government wants there to be a terror factor, for people to be scared. it’s the old tale of distracting the people with other issues so they do not notice loopholes in the government’s policies and actions. also a divide a rule sort of thing. if people are terrified of terrorist attacks they will never unite to fight against the govt. or try to over throw it.
the only reason Bush won a second term in office was because of 9/11 and him reassuring the people that he will protect them, he will take the strict action against the terrorists that his more lenient opponents won’t be able to.
And now we have our own mini 9/11 right before elections.
