by Amartya Ghosh on April 24, 2008

At last after long requisitions and picketings, Bengal’s gonna get some relief to be able to share it’s alltime burden of increasing no.of patients everyday among not only the shabby dilapidated buildings and dank smelly rooms of state medical colleges, but also a brand new private medical college in the state, in the midst of Kolkata, at Jadavpur.

KPC Medical college Hospital, named after the Chairman Dr.K.P.Chaudhuri would also make a relief statement for the willing no.of students who every year miss a toe at the only few medical colleges in the state and have to do away with their dreams of becoming doctors.

The College spread over 11 lakh sq.ft will grow over 54 lakh sq.ft in the coming years. It would consist of glass exteriors, airy corridors, huge and well equipped laboratories, sprawling 350 bed hospital and each and every diagnostic paraphernalias.

Later on it would be added on by para medical courses like O.T.technology,I.C.U technology,Bio Medical courses,Dental Courses and also a no.of Engineering and management courses.

Now the dream project on the century old K.S.Roy TB hospital complex is only awaiting an earliest MCI(Medical Council of India) clearance which once got would definitely bring a new edge to Bengal Medical Science, said Dr. Chaudhuri.
