Famed hacker Kevin Mitnick’s website was hacked on last Sunday. Explicit messages were being displayed on his 4 websites defensivethinking.com, mitsec.com, kevinmitnick.com and mitnicksecurity.com . The hackers are believed to be operating from Pakistan.
Mitnick spent five years behind bars for wire and computer fraud after being caught by FBI in 1995. Since his release in 2000, he makes a living as a consultant giving speeches on security matters and writing books about hackers. The film “Takedown”, directed by Joe Chappelle was made on basis of his life-story.
“The Web hosting provider that hosts my sites was hacked,” Mitnick told CNET News.com in an interview on monday. He said that he would switch Web hosting providers only if his site gets hacked continuously.
